By choosing to snorkel with us, you will be helping everybody in our community.
Where your money goes
In the future, we hope to build a visitor centre for our guests to learn more about us and engage further with the marine environment. The youth and future of tomorrow is very important to us so we want to build an activities area that is designed to get them more excited about marine life.
We also want to acquire further training for our guides to enhance their skills and knowledge to create a better snorkelling experience for visitors. Furthermore, we want to be able to teach other villages on how they can successfully create an MPA like us by carrying out workshops, either hosted in our village or by travelling to others.
Your admission fee is used village-wide to help benefit our community. Our friendly tour guides and coral gardeners are paid for their time and effort. The rest of the money will go directly towards funds for the village or the MPA. For example, this might cover costs of construction, coral planting materials, training and village infrastructure.
Most recently, we used the money to acquire paint to decorate our unfinished changing room building with a mural advertising our coral reef snorkelling.
